Breast enhancement is performed on women who are not satisfied with the size and shape of their breasts. In Boca Raton, FL, and the surrounding communities, Daniel Man, M.D., a board-certified Florida plastic surgeon, performs breast enhancement procedures to help women have a more balanced, shapely figure, and regain a positive self-image.

What is Breast Enhancement?

It is very common for women to be unhappy with the size, shape, and/or balance of their uneven breasts. Breast enhancement encompasses surgical procedures that redesign the breasts whether it’s for cosmetic reasons or reconstruction the breasts following breast removal. The procedures involve breast augmentation, lift, reduction, and reconstruction. Additionally, breast implant removal is also performed on women who want their implants taken out.

Benefits of Breast Enhancement

There are many reasons that women seek out breast enhancement. Depending on the circumstances, the most common benefits from breast enhancement include:

  • More shapely breasts
  • More balance and shape to the breasts
  • More self-confidence
  • Reduced back pain from large breasts

Is Breast Enhancement Right for Me?

Breast enhancement is right for you if you are not happy with the size, shape or position of your breasts. Whether they are too small or large, or if you have had them removed for medical reasons, you may want to consider breast enhancement. Medical advances in breast enhancement make it possible for them to look natural so that it is not as obvious that any work has been done.

How Involved is Breast Enhancement?

These procedures are considered major surgery; however, they are usually performed on an outpatient basis and require no hospital stay. There is some preparation and recovery time involved in each of these procedures. The preparation involves ensuring that our patients are in good health and have no underlying conditions that may impede the procedures.

How is the Recovery from Breast Enhancement?

For breast enhancement, recovery is very important. The incisions and construction of the breasts must have time to heal. It is necessary to make sure you have enough downtime to adequately recover before gradually returning to daily activities. Typically, patients are required to wear a support wrap during the first week following the procedures, then a supportive bra to keep the breasts in place. Depending on the type of surgery, there may be drains for fluid attached to the breasts. It is also necessary to schedule follow-up appointments after the first week to ensure the breasts are healing. Most women may return to work within a week of having breast enhancement procedures, but cannot lift anything, participate in strenuous activities, or exercise for several weeks following the procedure.

How Much Does Breast Enhancement Cost?

Breast enhancement procedures vary in terms of cost depending on the procedure and whether it is done in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures. We can discuss the cost during a consultation with Dr. Man. At that time, we can also go over your payment options and financing. Unless the selected procedure is done for medical reasons, it is unlikely that insurance will cover any of the costs involved. We accept, checks, cash and major credit cards in addition to offering financing.

What Do I Do Next?

If you are interested in breast enhancement, we recommend you schedule a consultation with Dr. Man. During this appointment, he reviews your current health and medical history, evaluates your breasts, and discusses what you want out of breast enhancement. If you have any questions, including those about costs, he will take the time to answer them so that you feel confident and secure in the recommended procedure.
