Do you wish your backside was tighter, rounder, and more attractive? Dr. Daniel Man, a Florida board-certified plastic surgeon, performs Brazilian butt lifts on people living in and around Boca Raton, FL, who want tighter, more contoured buttocks. His 3-D buttockplasty technique combines two of the most sought-after plastic surgery procedures for the buttocks – liposuction and lifts – to create a bottom with a rounder and physically fit appearance.

What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?

A Brazilian butt lift, also known as a buttockplasty, is designed to reduce fatty deposits and sagging, restoring a round and firm contour for the buttocks. The term “Brazilian butt lift” has become a common way to refer to buttockplasty. Dr. Man has created his own revolutionary procedure to achieve the bst results possible.

There are a few types of buttockplasty procedures, depending on how much extra skin and fat the patients have and the amount of lift that will be required. For some patients, endoscopic techniques and liposuction alone may provide an alternative to major surgery. For others, a full Brazilian butt lift may be in order, which removes fat, tightens the skin, and fills out contours. Dr. Man can consult with you to determine which route is best for you.

Benefits of a Brazilian Butt Lift

A Brazilian butt lift is an excellent plastic surgery option for those who want a better butt because it offers the following benefits:

  • Safe procedure
  • More volume and shape
  • Butt sits a little higher
  • Cellulite is less noticeable
  • Better fitting clothing
  • More self-confidence
  • Natural looking and feeling buttocks

Is a Brazilian Butt Lift Right for Me?

If you feel like your buttocks sags or is flat and would like to have a rounder, more contoured backside, a Brazilian butt lift may be the right procedure for you. We recommend that you be close to your ideal weight with areas such as the abdomen, flanks, back and thighs, so that Dr. Man can use liposuction and used that fat in the buttocks.

How is a Brazilian Butt Lift Performed?

Dr. Man uses a combination of surgical techniques, liposuction, and fillers to create beautifully shaped buttocks. His revolutionary procedure begins with a vertical incision to allow contouring of the buttocks. He will then remove unwanted fat using liposuction and tighten the muscles to sculpt the buttocks. Finally, fillers will be injected to create the desired shape the patient wants, plumping and lifting the buttocks for a firm, smooth, and youthful appearance. This results in a better contour for the buttocks as the skin and tissues are easier to work with after the fat has been removed. Not only will the buttocks appear lifted due to tucking and contouring, but it will be less fatty thanks to the liposuction.

Most buttockplasty procedures take three to five hours. While many surgeons do buttockplasty solely as an outpatient procedure at a hospital, ambulatory facility, or office suite, Dr. Man has a center that provides patients with complete care, including the option to recover under the watchful eye of our credentialed staff.

Preparing for a Brazilian Butt Lift

Prior to the actual surgery, patients are given pre-op medications to stay comfortable. The anesthesiologist normally administers general anesthesia so the patient will stay asleep and not experience any sensation during the procedure (local anesthetics and / or IV sedation may also be used.)

Dr. Man provides patients with detailed instructions on how to prepare for surgery. These instructions may include (but may not be limited to):

  • Have a complete physical
  • Lose or gaining weight, if necessary
  • Stop smoking at least six weeks before surgery
  • Stop taking Aspirin or other NSAIDs that can cause bleeding
  • Stay hydrated
  • For mothers with infants or toddlers under five years of age, arranging for childcare assistance for the two weeks following your surgery
  • Establish a no-fail support system for two weeks

After a Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure

After the reduction is complete, sutures will be used to close the incisions and, in some cases, drains may be placed to prevent swelling from excess fluid. Surgical dressings with a special support garment will be used to support and protect your buttocks.

Safety measures during surgery include multiple monitors in the surgical suite to monitor your blood pressure, heart rate, pulse, and oxygen levels. After surgery, patients are wheeled to a recovery area where they continue to be closely monitored until the anesthesia wears off.

Recovery from a Brazilian Butt Lift

After the procedure, patients may rest comfortably until the anesthesia begins to wear off. Any necessary medications are given to prevent infection and minimize discomfort. Patients need someone to stay with them for the first 24 hours after the surgery. If that is not an option, patients may opt to stay and be cared for during the first 24 hours by our staff. Our nurses are all ACSL certified and our facility has specialized recovery options. This includes chest wall cooling methods to reduce pain and swelling, a hyperbaric chamber, and oxygen treatments to speed healing.

How is the Recovery from a Brazilian Butt Lift?

After surgery, the buttocks will be swollen causing some discomfort. This lasts for a few days, but may be reduced with prescription pain medication for the first day or two followed by NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Naproxen) and/or other over-the-counter pain medication.

Patients typically return to work within one to two weeks, although strenuous activity must be avoided for three to four weeks. Patients are directed to wear a light support garment for a few weeks during the healing process. Any bruising, swelling, and tenderness should dissipate over the first two to three weeks after the procedure, although your buttocks may remain sensitive for a month or two.

How Much Does a Brazilian Butt Lift Cost?

The cost of a buttockplasty varies with each patient depending on the extent of the augmentation, how much liposuction is involved, and whether other procedures are performed at the same time. During an initial consultation, we go over the costs along with our payment options. We accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards, as well as offer financing.
