World renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Daniel Man is board certified in plastic surgery, emphasizing aesthetic and cosmetic surgery. One of the procedures he performs is forehead lifts or eyebrow lifts.

What is an endoscopic brow lift?

Also known as a forehead lift, a brow lift minimizes the deep creases that develop across the forehead, or those that occur high on the bridge of the nose. It also  improves what are commonly referred to as frown lines and repositions a low or sagging brow.

Why a brow or forehead lift?

As we age, our brow tends to sag and droop. We also develop lines in our forehead and along the sides of our eyes. A forehead lift or browlift helps to reduce deep creases, horizontal lines, and furrows in the forehead while lifting heavy, droopy eyebrows that can create a hooding effect over the eyes. The forehead muscles run vertically down the forehead and attach to the eyebrows and eye sockets. In a forehead lift, the muscles and tissues that cause the furrowing or drooping are repositioned to smooth the forehead, raise the eyebrows and minimize frown lines. A forehead lift is performed in the doctor’s office under general or I.V. sedation through an endoscope using small incisions.

How is it done?

The procedure is performed with an endoscope. Tiny incisions are made in the scalp. Dr. Man inserts an endoscope and tightens the muscles under the skin. This procedure lasts roughly one to two hours and patients are back to work in several days. Frown lines between the eyes can also be reduced with the use of botox injections. The results give the face a more alert, rested and youthful appearance.
